Blog Update

Hello readers!

As you know, Koalas and Uzis is a blog that aired on September 12, 2010 and ever since it remained your first source about Get Busy Committee and the band's members. Over this time, we got many loyal readers and friends, as well as the band's support!

Yesterday, our co-writer/owner, Eva, checked our e-mail account and saw there was a new e-mail from Blogger (the company that owns domains in .blogspot.com). Here it is:

We wouldn't like to comment this action of Blogger, really. We believe that it's at least rude to make reference to copyrights when other sites posted the same material too. Nevertheless, this made us consider quitting Blogger and move to a Wordpress domain soon. You'll be updated on the matter through our twitter account, as long as the new site is ready.

Last but not least, thank you for supporting Koalas and Uzis all this time, a new era is coming up!

SOB's "Reseda Beach" Coming Soon

Good news for all the SOB (aka Styles Of Beyond) fans out there. Plan was to release the long awaited Reseda Beach a little while before or after the new GBC album would drop. Seems like we're getting it in about 2 months according to the conversation between Ryu and Linkin Park's Mike Shinoda. Who's excited? :D

If you read that conversation between the two, you'll see that the album will be released through the label of CelphTitled (dirty version) and that they haven't set a date yet but it'll be in about 2 months as we mentioned above. Also, you can see Ryu and Mike talking about a specific song "The Pirate Song" which apparently is pretty dope (Mike has listened to the record before) and will probably make the first to be released song from the album, not 100% sure though yet.

Scoop Deville Interview - Album News

There's a new interview with Scoop floating around. Interview's with Hip Hop N More. He talks about producing, Get Busy Committee, Fort Minor, the future and more. Here are a few points:

"HHNM: Definitely. I notice that you are also associated with Styles Of Beyond and Mike Shinoda’s side project Fort Minor. The big question is why we haven’t seen another Fort Minor album since 2005. The Rising Tied was a classic.
Scoop DeVille: (Laughs) I feel the music will speak for itself. Always been a fan of all of them. Not only work wise. So I would love to see a new Fort Minor Project. Good music, good people."

"HHNM: What’s the latest on Get Busy Committee? Are you guys working on a new album?
Scoop DeVille: New album will be out early this year. Would have been sooner but being independent in this time is hard. We actually put out our first album with our own money and studio. So this project we want to at least be equivalent or better than Uzi Does It."

"HHNM
: Nice. Tell us about your other upcoming projects. Who are some of the artists you are collaborating with in 2012?
Scoop DeVille: There’s tons of artists I’m collaborating with. Also working on putting out my remix compilation called SCOOPALOOPS as well as a new group that I’m working with called “Watercolor Werewolves” or “WW” for short. That project will showcase a different way of creating music. Not just Hip Hop but almost on some world music that everyone can relate to. And that helps me stay creative in my true artist form."

You can read the whole interview here.

In other news, as you read above seems like we're getting a new album sometime. According to Ryu's tweets future is unknown.

Ryu Going Solo

Good to know that GBC remains the band we all love, as Ryu informed us a while ago.

We're pleased to announce that Ryu has finally decided to do his solo record. He has already started listening to beats and scores people have been sending him so if you have something that you wanna share with him feel free to send it to his twitter account. He'll be more than pleased to listen to whatever you have to offer. We hope his dream of having Linkin Park's Mike Shinoda produce his solo project will come true.  Our best wishes to Ryu for his new project!

Scoop and Apathy are also working on their own projects. Scoop, as always, continues mixing and producing his owns beats which you can always check on his OfficialFM page and check for updates on his twitter. Apathy, after releasing another solo album entitled Honkey Kong, is working on a new Demigodz album. For updates, check his twitter.

GBC has one foot in the grave?

There hasn't been too much news lately regarding music (Scoop regularly updates his blog, be sure to check out for new swag mixes and remixes) but Ryu has tweeted something that has got the entire KAU team worked up... and it also should get any GBC fan feeling not so nice.

We aren't sure if Ryu has been serious or not but this doesn't bring too much joy.... We don't want to think it's the halfway to the end or beyond that - the end itself....
